The author analyzes 5 whole games played by top backgammon players with more then 100 situations described New Ideas in Backgammon Terrific book for the advanced player. Definitely not an entry level introduction. Authors are world-class players themselves. Advanced Backgammon, Volume 1 : Positional Play Advanced Backgammon, Volume 2 : Technical Play Advanced player's "Bible". Both volumes include easy to understand, helpful examples and situation analysis. 501 Essential Backgammon Problems A compilation of 501 problems, split 360 checker plays v 141 cube actions. (67 doubles 74 redoubles). After the opening chapters covering notation/probability/basic doubling strategy etc, there are 26 chapters covering many of the main concepts in backgammon. |
